Manchester United legend, Andy Cole, has praised Dean Henderson for his calmness and composure in goal.
The 23 year old made his debut United last week, in the Carabao Cup tie against Luton Town, and was impressive when called upon.
Henderson was again, selected in goal for the Red Devils’s round of 16 fixture against Brighton on Wednesday, and he proved yet again, that he has what it takes to step up to the challenge and pressure that comes with playing for a top club like United.
Henderson’s teammate, Donny van de Beek, had great things to say about him after the match, and Andy Cole seems to have been impressed as well.
In his reaction, Cole told Sky Sports, when asked to assess the performance, “Very good again.
“We have spoken about it previously, playing in goal for Manchester United is not easy, especially when United are playing well because you’re not really called upon but when he has been called upon this evening, he has made two real good saves.”
Henderson recently returned to Old Trafford to compete with David De Gea as United’s number one, after successfully spending the last few seasons away on loan.
He has always been vocal about his desire to be the number one at the club, and it’s good to see he’s following it up with great performances on the pitch.
