According to reports, Manchester have paid £4.5million to Sporting Lisbon for Bruno Fernandes’ match-winning performance in the 3-2 victory over Brighton.
Further details from Portuguese outlet Record have claimed the fee was based on appearances as the Portuguese made his 25th appearance in a Red shirt against the Seagulls on Saturday.
The midfielder moved to Old Trafford for an initial £45million in the January winter transfer window, but several add-ons were added which could see the Red Devils eventually pay £66.7m for the 26-year-old.
The club paid £2.74m in July after qualifying for the Champions League, and have paid another £4.5m for appearances made.
The midfielder marked the occasion by scoring a last-gasp winning penalty to make it 13 goals during his impressive time in England’s top flight.
