Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has sent a message to Manchester United insisting Jadon Sancho will not be sold this summer.
The England international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but the club have failed to meet the German side’s demands.
With just over two weeks left of the transfer window, Dortmund Sporting Director Kehl has clarified reports concerning the player’s future.
“He [Jadon Sancho] is our player, and he will stay,” said Kehl.
“It was an important statement from the club because we have a certain responsibility. Without Jadon this team is weaker.”
The Bundesliga side placed a pricetag of £108m earlier in the window and they set United a deadline of August 8th to meet their asking price. But the Red devils wanted a reduced fee for the player due to the financial implications of the global pandemic.
It now looks unlikely a deal will go through with Dortmund’s current stance on the player’s future.
