There have been calls from some impatient fans and pundits to sack Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but club legend Patrice Evra has publicly given his support to Solskjaer, amid calls for his sack.
The Norwegian appears to be facing heat from both fans and pundits, following United’s shambolic showing against Crystal Palace on match day 2 of the English Premier League.
The Eagles ran out 3-1 winners in the encounter, and infuriated fans immediately began trending ‘#OleOut’ on social media thereafter.
But there are yet people who seem to have absolute confidence in the Norwegian, including former United left-back, Evra, who in a recent explosive 20 minute video, slammed some of those who work in the United board, and Ed Woodward, for being too trusting of the wrong people.
Evra also gave his support to Solskjaer, who he said has been doing things the Man United way since he took over.
In his own words, “Some people say because Olé doesn’t have a big CV, that he’s not the man. Ole is the man, he is the man right now! He brings back our philosophy.”
Solskjaer guided United to a third place finish in the EPL last season, after starting slowly, and there was an air of confidence this campaign will be different, prior to Saturday’s game— perhaps, that’s where the frustration lies for some.
