Tottenham are still very sad with regret, after missing out on the opportunity to sign Portugal international, Bruno Fernandes.
The Londoners appeared close to snatching the 26 year old a few months ago, before United entered the picture.
Fernandes chose to come to Old Trafford, where he has since been impressing, and José Mourinho’s side are still bitter about the loss, according to Daily Mirror sports writer, Darren Lewis.
Speaking on talkSPORT recently, Lewis said, “Spurs can dither. I think they will cry every night over losing Bruno Fernandes when they had him in the palm of their hands and dithered over how much he would cost.
“They dither, ‘it’s got to be this, it’s got to be that’ – they can’t seem to get the players in to move the team on. Other clubs have made far more progress because they moved far more quickly.”
Well, we guess this explains why Mourinho has taken a few swipes at Fernandes in the last couple of months.
