Manchester United are still confident of signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer, despite multiple suggestions to the contrary.
This is according to Ian McGarry of the transfer window podcast, who claims the Red Devils are willing to leave negotiations until the latter days of the current transfer window.
The rationale behind the decision, they add, is that by then, Dortmund will be left with no choice than to do business, and they could even offer a discount on their current valuation of the winger.
United believe the Bundesliga side are being unrealistic by demanding over £100 million for Sancho under the present circumstances, and are unwilling to meet their demands.
Dortmund have already stated they won’t sell, but after recent reports revealed United have agreed personal terms with the 20 year old and his representatives, there’s reason to believe anything could still happen.
