Manchester United have been placed in Pot 2 ahead of Champions League group stage draw on our return to UEFA elite competition.
The Champions League group stage draw will be held on October 1.
The Red devils have been placed together with likes of Ajax, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Manchester City, Shakhtar Donetsk in pot 2 which means we won’t face any of the teams in pot 2.
Pot 1 is dominated by league winners such as: Bayern Munich, Juventus, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, Porto, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Zenit St Petersburg.
Manchester United will likely have any of the teams in pot 1 in our group except Liverpool. Two teams from the same nation can’t be in the same Champions League group.
Pot 3 and pot 4 are yet to be finalised as Champions League qualification games are yet to be finalised.
