Manchester United are concentrated on offloading Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo this summer, before considering signing another centre back, according to renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
Rojo is reportedly being offered to a number of clubs in Italy, Spain and Argentina, where he spent the last campaign on loan.
The report also adds that a deal looks very likely soon, with a sale targeted before the end of the summer transfer window.
As for Smalling, the Englishman is still keen to return to AS Roma, on a permanent basis, after impressing on loan with them last season.
The Italians have already had an offer rejected, but negotiations are still on, and they’re expected to return with an improved offer in the coming days.
If United are able to sell both players, the club could move to sign a new centre back, with Olé Gunnar Solskjaer looking for a reliable partner for Harry Maguire this season.
The club has already identified a number of targets for the position, but no formal bids have been made yet.
