According to The Times, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to sell either Andreas Pereira or Jesse Lingard when Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek completes his Manchester United transfer.
The Ajax box-to-box midfielder is closing in on a £40million transfer to Manchester United and has reportedly told his Ajax teammates that he is set to join Manchester United this week.
The Times also claim Solskjaer expects to add three more players to his squad after the arrival of Van de Beek.
Van de Beek trained alone on Sunday as he waits for his future to be resolved. He was also absent from the squad for Ajax’s friendly against Hertha Berlin.
Ajax coach Erik ten Haag confirmed: “There are indeed developments that prevent him from being in the selection. We are looking at how that will end.”
