Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho appears very impressed with Mason Greenwood, and was full of praise for the 18 year old, when speaking in a recent interview.
The Manchester United target was asked to name two English players he believes are doing well right now (aside himself, of course), to which he mentioned Mason Greenwood and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
According to Sancho, both youngsters have been doing great things on the pitch for their respective clubs, and he believes they’ll make things difficult for England manager, Gareth Southgate, when it’s time to pick a squad to participate in the UEFA Nations League, coming up this September.
He told SportBible: “The young players that are coming up now [to England] like Bukayo Saka, Mason Greenwood – these guys are talented.
“It’s interesting to see what they’re doing week in, week out. They’re doing a madness so it’s going to be a very tough decision for Gareth Southgate to make [who to pick for his England squad next time].”
The Nation’s League begins on September 3. But England doesn’t get involved until two days later, when they play Iceland.
