Manchester United’s season opener against Burnley postponed. Burnley boss reacts

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has reacted to the postponement of his side’s game against Manchester United’s on September 12.

The Clarets boss will not be changing his pre-season plans despite the latest development.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Sean Dyche said: “We got a heads up yesterday, we are not going to re-plan now. We might have given the lads another couple of days off but we are not going to do that. we are going to carry on with our schedule.

“It is a double edged sword. It gives you that little extra week and gives us a chance to have a look around and see what happens on that first week. We have the cup game which is a real game and gives you that real game feel.

“I think we have always worked on it is what it is. It is such a tough division for teams like us, and lots of others, where every game is vital. We will look at every game as it comes. We will just get the players ready for our start.”

The Red devils were set to kick-off the 2020/21 Premier League campaign with a trip to Burnley on September 12, but the game has been postponed due to our participation in the Europa League.
