Lyon’s sporting director, Juninho, has boosted Manchester United’s hopes of signing Moussa Dembele and Houssem Aouar, after confirming there will be departures from the club this summer.
The French club were sent packing from the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, after suffering a 3-0 thrashing from Bayern Munich.
This is believed to have opened the door for possible exits this summer, with Juninho himself, giving a confirmation to reporters on the matter.
When asked about it after Lyon’s match with Bayern, the Lyon legend said, “There will be departures… When you have players who play very well in a competition like this, like Moussa (Dembele) and Houssem (Aouar)…”
Dembele is believed to be keen to a move to Old Trafford, and will reportedly be available on a cheap.
But as for Aouar, it isn’t clear if United still want him, as he was initially rumoured to be a potential replacement for Paul Pogba, who is now believed to be happy at United and close to agreeing a new deal.
