According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are ready to bid for Bournemouth winger David Brooks as we are yet to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over Jadon Sancho.
The 23-year-old has been a club target and an official bid is expected. The Cherries are likely to demand around £40m for the Wales international.
Bournemouth are determined to hold out for big fees for their prized assets, insisting they are under no pressure to sell despite their relegation from the Premier League.
Bournemouth secured a £41m fee for Nathan Ake from Manchester City, more than double what they paid to sign the Dutch defender from Chelsea and value Brooks at a similar price to Ake.
Brooks shone in his first season in the Premier League, following his £11.5m move to Bournemouth from Sheffield United, scoring seven times and setting up five more goals but made only nine appearances in the 2019/20 Premier League campaign due to a serious ankle injury.
