Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has been officially handed a 6-month driving ban after admitting to speeding.
According to the BBC, the former United defender was caught doing more than 70mph in his Mercedes.
The Englishman will also have to pay £822 in various fines and costs.
The centre-back was also punished for a similar offence in 2012 when he was caught speeding 3 times in just 5 weeks.
Meanwhile, Ferdinand has explained why Manchester United lost to Sevilla in the semifinal of the Europa League.
Taking to his Twitter, the former defender said, “You don’t take ya chances you get punished.
“You don’t defend well you get punished. No need for insight tonight!”
