Paul Pogba didn’t get on the score sheet as Manchester United were beaten 2-1 by Sevilla on Sunday, but the Frenchman was very effective in his midfield role, and was perhaps, the club’s most important player on the evening.
Not only did Pogba boss the midfield and have some exciting link-ups with Bruno Fernandes, his stats from the match show he also had an impressive 89% pass accuracy.
Pogba was able to successfully make 25 passes in the final third, with 12 ball recoveries.
The 27 year old had 9 successful take-ons, created 5 chances in all, including 1 big chance, and made 3 vital tackles.
Pogba, however, couldn’t score, like we said, despite being able to let out a shot throughout the course of the encounter.
It is sad all of these things were not enough to help United secure a place in the final of the Europa League, but it was definitely heartwarming to see some of our players performing so well, especially, with the 2020/21 season, just weeks away.
