Rio Ferdinand explains why United lost to Sevilla

Sevilla’s goalkeeper, Bono, put on a man of the match performance, as the Spanish side beat Manchester United 2-1, to dump them out of the Europa League on Sunday.

But many United fans will continue to feel things could have been different, had the team’s forward players been better at defending, and more clinical in their finishing.

These were these same exact thoughts captured by United legend, Rio Ferdinand, who wasted no time, in sharing his feelings after the match.

Taking to his Twitter, the former defender said, “You don’t take ya chances you get punished.

“You don’t defend well you get punished. No need for insight tonight!”

United had 46 shots against Sevilla and FC Copenhagen, and only scored a penalty in both matches.

It says so much about our attack, especially, and shows just how much work needs to be done in that regard.
