Former Manchester United forward, Romelu Lukaku, had wonderful things to say about the club and its forwards, when asked to share his thoughts on them.
The Belgian could have been reunited with his former club and old teammates, had Sevilla not knocked out Man United in the semi-finals of the Europa League on Sunday.
But speaking after Inter’s win over Shakhtar Donetsk on Monday, Lukaku expressed delight in what he has seen from Olé Gunnar Solskjaer and former teammates like Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial.
He told BT Sport: “United tried their hardest. I think they had a really good season. I think Ole did a good job.
“The players I think they did really well. Greenwood’s coming through, Martial and Rashford, I expected all of that, so I’m really happy for them and they look really good for next season I have no doubt.”
Indeed, the lads haven’t done badly at all, and this was a decent enough season for the club by many standards, especially considering how they achieved their third place finish in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Lukaku continues to shine for Inter, after bagging a brace against Shakhtar Donetsk, to take his tally to 33 goals in 50 matches.
