Manchester United goalie Sergio Romero is set to win Europa League golden glove award despite the club’s Europa League elimination against Sevilla.
The Argentine now has the most number of clean-sheets in the UEFA Europa League campaign (7) and is on course to win the Golden Glove award this season.
With Sevilla having conceded against us yesterday, their goalkeeper Bono has kept 6 clean sheets in the competition – one less than the United star.
If the Moroccan keeper manages to keep another clean sheet in the final, he’ll be co-winner of the Golden Glove award.
But Romero will win it outright if Sevilla fails to keep a clean sheet in the final, which is likely considering they could be up against favourites Inter Milan.
The Argentine goalkeeper was again benched for a semi-final by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday but his performances in Europe will sure be rewarded.
