According to reports, Manchester United have joined the race for Brighton’s £50million-rated centre-back Ben White.

The player is one of the most promising young players in English football after an impressive season on loan at Leeds United.

The likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in him.

Newly-promoted side Leeds United are believed to have lodged the first formal bid of £35m for the 22-year-old to keep him at Elland Road after seeing an initial £18m turned down.

According to The Sun, Brighton are not keen on selling him at all this summer.

The Seagulls feel the market is depressed as a result of coronavirus and that he will be worth much more after a first full season in England’s top flight with Brighton.

He has yet to play a game in the Premier League but his performances with Leeds in the Championship have him his value skyrocket.
