Manchester United have been rewarded handsomely, for finishing third in the Premier League in the just-ended 2019/20 campaign.
It has been revealed that after the distribution of prize money and broadcast revenue, the Red Devils received a staggering £166.2 million from the league.
This means United recorded a significant jump in earnings, with a £23.7 million increase on the amount they received last season.
As expected, only Liverpool and Manchester City received more money than United, after finishing first and second, while Sheffield recorded the highest rise in revenue, after receiving £125.5 million more than they got in the EFL last season.
In all, a total of £2.6 billion was distributed to all 20 teams in the division, based on their positions on finale day.
