Former Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov, has revealed he’s worried about Manchester United playing Inter Milan in the final of the Europa League.
Both clubs secured a place in the semis, after United beat FC Copenhagen 1-0 on Monday, while Inter edged Bayer Leverkusen 2-1.
The clubs could now meet in the final, if they win their respective opponents this weekend, and Berbatov thinks the Italian side has players that are capable of hurting the Red Devils.
He told BetFair, “Lukaku is a concern for me, he’s scored 23 goals for Inter this season which is a great achievement.
“I always said I liked him as a player, that if he got chances he would score goals. He’s very quick, and very strong, and his goal on Monday was spectacular. He’s the main danger for whoever they play against.
“Inter also have Alexis Sanchez and Ashley Young, who will know United very well. If they play United in the final, these players will want revenge, to show United that they were wrong to let them go.”
Inter have improved tremendously under Antonio Conte, after signing some of United’s former players.
These players may know the team like Berbatov has pointed out, but Olé Gunnar Solskjaer also has some dangerous players of his own, who are capable of hurting anyone on their day.
Considering the magnitude of the game, we expect the players to give their all, and if that happens, there’s no reason United wouldn’t go all the way.
