Manchester United target Ismalia Sarr has revealed he would love to play for bitter rivals Liverpool.
The 22-year-old was relegated with Watford, but reports from Standard Sport understands the player will cost at least £40million.
The player is on the club’s six-man list as alternatives if we fail in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
Sarr does insist he would play in the Championship if Watford want him to stay, however.
“Liverpool are a really great team, everyone would love to play there,” he told Senegalese outlet Sans Limites. “They won the Premier League this year and the Champions League last year. But there are other great teams in the English league.
“Frankly, I have yet to make a choice. If I am to leave, I just hope it is for a good team. At the moment, it is just guesswork.”
He added: “I still have years left on my contract with Watford; an other four years.
“If Watford want me to stay, I’ll play in the Championship. A departure depends on them as well as me. This is normal.”
