According to reports, Manchester United are ready to announce signing of youngster Isak Hansen-Aaroen.
The player agreed to join the club last year and is poised to start the upcoming season with the new club’s academy.
Hansen-Aaroen became Tromso’s youngest-ever player at the age of 15 years and 319 days last month and United were hopeful of formally announcing his arrival before the start of the academy season.
Tromso assistant Lars Petter Andressen told Nordlys:
“Isak is no longer with us now. He will travel to Manchester next week and he has agreed with us that he will now have a few days off. It will be a little holiday to calm down a bit before he goes over.
“Of course we wish him a lot of luck over there. We wish he could be here and contribute to the season but we understand that they want him there.”
Hansen-Aaroen made six substitute appearances for Tromso, currently top of the Norwegian league, and has attained three caps for Norway Under-16s.
As part of a proposed long-term agreement between the clubs, United sent academy talent Aidan Barlow to Tromso on loan last year. Barlow played seven times for Tromso and was released by United last month.
