Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed the impact of midfielder Juan Mata after the Red Devils booked their place in the Europa League semi-finals.
The Spaniard was brought on for extra-time against Copenhagen side and he helped to break the deadlock by setting up Anthony Martial, who was fouled in the box which resulted in Bruno Fernandes scoring from the spot.
Mata also provided two assists in a 2-1 win against LASK Linz last Tuesday.
Solskjaer was delighted with the Spaniard’s contributions.
“You saw when he came on he’s so composed, calm,” said Solskjaer.
“He can pick a pass. He is such a great influence in the dressing room. I can just commend him for his professionalism.
“Of course he is disappointed he has not played more.”
The Red devils will face either Sevilla or Wolves in the next round, with the two teams facing each other on Tuesday night.
