Manchester United boss, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, has hailed the progress and impact Anthony Martial has had at the club this season.
The Frenchman, on Wednesday, scored United’s second against LASK Linz, to beat Marcus Rashford, and become the club’s leading goalscorer this season, with 23 strikes so far.
Martial has become sharper in front of goal, in what is already his best season so far, in red and white, and Solskjaer seems delighted with the man he’s shaped up to be.
Speaking recently on the 24 year old’s progress, Solskjaer said, “Anthony has made huge strides this season in many aspects of his game.
“I like him scoring, him being in between the posts, scoring the simple goals – we know he can do worldies, like he’s done a few times.
“He’s in the gym a lot, working on his fitness and strength. The staff have done a fantastic job with him.
“Physically he is at the best level of his career, and I’m just looking forward to seeing him improve. There’s more to come from him.”
Martial joined United from AS Monaco in 2015, and suffered from a lot of criticisms, after initially struggling to find his feet, so it is a major boost for his confidence and the club, to witness this amazing transformation.
