Former Manchester United forward, Michael Owen, has named his top four teams for next season, and the Red Devils are one of them.
Owen, made the revelation while speaking with 90min recently, and according to him, United have improved well enough to be considered title favourites for next season.
The former Liverpool man, however, maintained Liverpool and Manchester City will be first and second, while United are expected to pressure them in third. Chelsea are fourth on his list.
He said: “Liverpool and City are obviously definites for the top four. United, for me, are definites now as well. All of a sudden, I’m looking at United and thinking ‘wow, they are playing so well that they could join in that race for the title’.”
Olé Gunnar Solskjaer led United to a strong finish this season, and many will be expecting a title charge in the 2020/21 campaign.
However, pundits have urged the club to make more signings if they’re truly to be considered favourites for the Premier League.
