Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has landed himself in hot water with his former club, Oldham Athletic, after ending his contract with them without mutual consent.
According to Daily Mail, the former midfielder has been asked to pay Oldham a five-figure settlement, as compensation for abandoning his contract with them last year.
Scholes managed Oldham for just about a month, before leaving, and accusing their owner, Abdallah Lemsagam of trying to influence his tactics.
The 45 year old also sued Oldham for breaching a clause in his contract, which gives him full control of the team, but didn’t succeed.
He’s now been asked to pay a huge sum to his former club, while also covering their legal fees.
