Borussia Dortmund will try to tempt their star man, Jadon Sancho into staying with them, with a salary increment, if Manchester United fail to meet their valuation of the player within the given deadline.
The Bundesliga side and United have been in negotiations for the star for weeks now, with no breakthrough yet.
Dortmund is said to be demanding at least, £108 million for the 20 year old, but United are trying to bring it down as much as possible, as they believe it’s too much.
However, Bild reports that the German side is planning to offer Sancho an improved salary package, to make him stay, if United are unable to seal the deal.
Dortmund have always been clear about wanting to keep the player, so this could be very true, although recent reports suggest they may also be open to extending the deadline.
According to reliable local source Ruhr Nachrichten, Borussia Dortmund have extended the transfer deadline for Manchester United to sign Jadon Sancho to August 20.
Whatever be the case, it is clear United need to get this wrapped up or move on, because time is is of the essence, and Olé Gunnar Solskjaer needs to sort his squad before the new season begins.
