Werder Bremen’s sporting director Frank Baumann has revealed that his club are in talks with Manchester United over a loan deal for Tahith Chong.
Report from MEN Sport claimed earlier this week that Chong’s representatives had discussed a temporary move to the Bundesliga club, and that United officials will hold talks on Friday.
The player’s agent Erkan Alkan was quoted as saying: “He wants to go to the Bundesliga and Bremen. He will tell that to Manchester United. The club’s plan convinced him.”
The German side Sporting director had this to say on the loan deal:
“We are leading good conversations. Several parties are involved.
“There are some things which have to be settled. It will still take some time. At the moment I cannot say how likely a [loan] transfer is.”
