Manchester United’s bid to sign Aston Villa captain, Jack Grealish, may have received a small knock, as reports say the midfielder has been offered an improved contract by the club.
According to The Sun, Grealish has been offered a new £100k a week contract, which would see him earn more than the £70k he’s currently on.
The report adds that Villa owners, Nassef Sawiris and Wes Eden, consider Grealish an important player, and have no intention of letting him go.
The 24 year old had a decent season with the Villans, after helping them secure Premier League safety.
United is said to be highly interested in signing the Englishman, although recent reports suggest an official bid may come much later in the summer transfer window.
Grealish is valued at £80 million by Aston Villa.
