After weeks of negotiations, Alexis Sanchez has joined Inter Milan on a free transfer.
The Italian club announced the deal on Thursday afternoon, via its official Twitter account.
Other details of the move remain sketchy, but it is believed the Chilean accepted a massive pay reduction to see it through.
Sanchez initially joined Inter on a season-long loan deal, last summer, which was extended after the initial June deadline, due to the suspension of football across Europe.
Inter tried to press for another extension, so as to have the player available for them in the Europa League, but United rejected the request in favour of a total purchase.
Sanchez joined United in 2018, after impressing at Arsenal, but sadly, could not keep up with expectations at Old Trafford.
