Manchester United have reached an agreement with Inter Milan for the sale of Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez to the Italian side.
The 31 year old Chilean failed to impress at Manchester United after joining from Arsenal in January 2018 but has recaptured his form after initially joining Inter Milan on loan.
Inter’s chief executive Giuseppe Marotta confirmed before Inter’s Europa League game against Getafe on Wednesday night that Sanchez will be confirmed as a Inter player on Thursday.
“Unofficially, we’ll make it official tomorrow morning,” said Marotta.
“The player is entirely owned by Inter. We have a contract with him for three seasons.”
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also confirmed Sanchez has completed a permanent move to Inter Milan.
“Yeah, I believe so,” he told BT Sport when asked whether reports claiming the deal was done were true.
“He’s had a good time over there and he’s a good player. We wish him all the best.”
