United forward tops Premier League nutmeg chart

Manchester United finished third in the Premier League last season, not only because of the great chemistry and effort from the team, but also due to some individual brilliance.

One of United’s most outstanding performers during the just concluded Premier League season, was Marcus Rashford, who despite being injured for months, still managed to finish in the top 10 of the goalscorers chart, with 17 goals.

But aside that, Rashford’s build-up play was brilliant as well, with a new stat showing the Englishman managed to nutmeg opposition players 13 times last season, to top the nutmegs table.

The only player who came closest to Rashy was Diogo Jota of Wolves, who managed 12, even though he had more matches to play than him.

Meanwhile, Dele Alli (Tottenham), Nicolas Pepe (Arsenal) and Wilfred Zaha (Crystal Palace) managed 7 nutmegs each, to earn the third position, and complete the top three.

We’re happy Rashy is winning now, after having to receive lots of backlash for not scoring much in the past, and we’re hopeful 2020/21 will be even better.
