With Jadon Sancho’s arrival from Borussia Dortmund imminent, Manchester United is already making plans to ensure his transitioning is a smooth one.
According to a report on Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are planning to hand Sancho either jersey number 7 or 11, when he completes the move from Germany.
The iconic jersey number 7 was impressively adorned by Cristiano Ronaldo during his Old Trafford days, and no player has lived up to the same level since then.
Alexis Sanchez wore the kit number, but after an uninspiring couple of months, had to be sent off to Inter Milan, on loan.
The jersey number 11 was worn by the legendary Ryan Giggs before his retirement, and then, Anthony Martial, for a while, so it would be interesting to see which one Sancho will get eventually.
Meanwhile, United are still locked in negotiations with Dortmund for the 20 year old, with a deal said to be agreed, and an official announcement due in the coming days.
