Former Manchester United starlet, Angel Gomes, appears to have finally found a club, a few weeks after leaving Old Trafford.
The talented player left United as his contract expired in June, despite moves to persuade him otherwise.
United is said to have offered Gomes a new deal that would see him pocket £30k a week, but it was turned down in favour of more regular first team football.
Chelsea were also rumoured to be working on a deal to sign him, but nothing concrete came out of that.
However, Portuguese news outlet, A Bola, is now reporting that Gomes is close to joining French side, Lille, from where he’ll move to Primeira Liga team, Boavista FC.
Many United fans were gutted to see the club lose Gomes, but in the end, Olé did confirm he just didn’t want to stay.
We will surely miss the man and his talent, but all we can do now is wish him well in his future endeavours.
