Manchester United have reportedly ruled out a move for Real Madrid forward, Gareth Bale, due his expensive wage demands.
The Welshman appears to have fallen out of favour with the Spanish giants, after falling down the pecking order in Zinedine Zidane’s team last season.
United have been linked with a move for Bale for some time now, however, emerging reports say they have cooled interest in him, as they now seek other alternatives.
According to the Daily Mail, Man United are unwilling to match Bale’s £350k a week salary, considering the current reality of football’s economy since the outbreak of coronavirus.
De Gea is the highest paid player at Old Trafford at the moment, with a salary of £375k a week.
Meanwhile, United have identified Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho as their main target this summer, and are currently locked in negotiations with the German side over a transfer.
