Despite recent reports that Borussia Dortmund have accepted a £60 million initial offer from Manchester United over the sale of Jadon Sancho, the club’s sporting director, Michael Zorc, has expressed hope they can keep him for another season.
Sancho has been on fire for the German side since leaving Manchester City a few years ago, and United are poised to get him, despite the financial implications.
Speaking recently in an interview, Zorc said of Sancho: “Jadon is an outstanding footballer with a quota that I have never seen at this age.
“I think it would even stand up to being one of the largest in the industry if you look at its age. I would be happy if he would still play with us this season. And that’s the current state of affairs.
“First of all we have to stick to the facts – and they are so, that we still have a contract with him until 2022.”
Meanwhile, Sancho himself continues to fuel speculations, after recently sharing a photo of himself and England national teammate Marcus Rashford on social media, in support of Nike’s anti-racism campaign.
