Manchester United legend Gary Pallister has hailed Harry Maguire for equaling his Premier League record.
Pallister was the last Manchester United outfield player to play every minute of action in a league season – something he achieved in 1995. Maguire was also able to play every minute of action in the Premier League this season.
Speaking to MUTV, Gary Pallister said: “I think Harry Maguire is terrific. I think he’s rightly got the captaincy; he’s one of the talkers.
“He’s got an assurance about him that the [other Man United] players respond to. I think, for his first season, he’s been terrific.
“He’s comfortable on the ball. He’s dominant there and he’s exactly the type of centre-back that Manchester United needed.”
This season, Maguire became the first outfield Old Trafford player to play every minute of Premier League action since Pallister in 1994/95.
