Manchester United may be on the verge of losing Alexis Sanchez to Italian giants Inter Milan, if the latest comments from their CEO are to be believed.
The player has been on loan with the Italian side since last summer, and seems to have revived his career, after a slow start, mostly due to injuries.
Sanchez’s blistering form has seen him record a stunning 10 goal involvements since the restart, and Inter appear desperate to keep him.
Speaking on the Chilean with Sky Sports recently, Inter chief, Giuseppe Marotta said: “It is not easy because he has a big contract for another two years. In addition to the negotiations with the club, that must also be evaluated.
“It would be a shame because we would like Sanchez today and tomorrow.”
Sanchez’s loan deal with Inter expires this month, and he’s expected back to Old Trafford next week, but Inter are currently negotiating an extension or an outright purchase, which is yet to be successful.
