Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has expressed gratitude to Manchester United fans for their support throughout the season even when it wasn’t easy.
Manchester United secured Champions League football for next season after the 2-0 victory over Leicester City on Sunday and Rashford insists United are back to where we belong.
Rashford wrote on Twitter: “5 months ago I would have never believed I would have been able to see this season out. I’m grateful that I have.
“To the fans, thank you for always getting behind us at a time when it wasn’t always easy. We’re back where we’re supposed to be.”
The England International picked up a major back injury in January and the striker was initially supposed to be out for the rest of the 2019/20 campaign.
However, the 22-year-old made his return to action during the Project Restart thanks to the coronavirus suspension, playing an important role as the club secured Champions League qualification for next season.
