Aston Villa manager, Dean Smith, has suggested Jack Grealish may be sticking around at Villa Park for longer, despite interest from Manchester United.
The Villa captain has been an unofficial subject of interest from United for months now, and reports claim a move to Old Trafford is imminent, after he helped his side to safety on Sunday.
However, Dean Smith, while speaking to reporters after Villa’s match yesterday, said the player is still bound to them by contract, and if any other clubs want him, they’ll have to pay so much.
In his own words, “I’ve got no idea [if Jack Grealishstays]. His contract has got another three or fours years on it. We’ve got billionaire owners and if people want him, then he’s going to cost an awful lot of money.”
Grealish scored ten times for Villa in the just concluded season, with six assists, and was coy over his future when asked about it after their 1-0 win against Arsenal days ago.
