Manchester United boss, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, has revealed Luke Shaw will be unavailable to play for the club until the end of the season.
The Norwegian made this known while speaking to MUTV just before United played Leicester City on the last day of the Premier League season.
Shaw picked up an ankle injury in the 2-2 draw with Southampton, and many hoped he’d have recovered after he was seen arriving Carrington days ago, but Solskjaer has said the 25 year old will now miss the rest of the season.
Speaking to MUTV just before the Leicester clash, Solskjaer said: “Luke [Shaw] will be out until next season, that’s a blow for him and a blow for us because he’s been fantastic.”
Brandon Williams has been playing in Shaw’s absence, and is expected to continue to deputise for him for now.
Shaw will however, be solely missed, having featured in most of United’s matches this season, and will miss the Europa League which will resume in under two weeks from now.
