Despite finishing third in the Premier League, it appears Manchester United will have to wait a bit longer to secure the signature of Jadon Sancho, and that is if a recent report is to be believed.
According to The Athletic’s Laurie Whitwell, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund, who the 20 year old plays for, are still somewhat world’s apart in the valuations of the player.
While Dortmund is said to be seeking at least £100 million for their star man, United is said to be willing to pay not more than £80 million.
Apparently, the powers that be at Old Trafford are almost convinced the transfer will pan out the same way that of Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes did, and are bracing themselves for it.
For Sancho himself, being in the UEFA Champions League has made it easier for him to come to Old Trafford, however, the final decision remains with Dortmund, where he’s tied until 2022.
Manchester United fans have now urged Ed Woodward to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho after the club sealed Champions League qualification.
