Club legend Gary Neville, has explained the reason he believes Manchester United need to sign another striker.

United were on a fine run of 19 matches unbeaten, before losing to Chelsea on Sunday, and our attack has been decent enough.

Anthony Martial has had his best season in United colours, with 22 goals across all competitions, and there is belief among some he can lead our attack next term.

But Neville, while speaking recently on Sky Sports, expressed doubt the Frenchman can do it all alone.

He said: “I think that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs three or four more [signings] of those as a minimum before he can even think about getting up into third or second place [in the Premier League].

“When I say that Manchester United need a centre-forward, that’s not me saying they should sell Anthony Martial. They need a centre-forward because Man Utd should have two or three great centre-forwards. They should have two or three great wingers.”

United are yet to make a signing so far, but there are strong rumours the club is after Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.
