Unlike many football lovers and fans of Manchester United, Paul Scholes has offered his backing to David De Gea, after his poor performance at Wembley last weekend.
The Spain international conceded two cheap goals against Chelsea in the second semi-final clash of the FA Cup on Sunday, and was heavily criticised for it, but Scholes chose a different approach, and instead, believes the 29 year old will find his feet again.
Reacting to comments from others on De Gea’s performance, Scholes wrote on his official Instagram account, “Yep, he’s having a bad time. But without him United wouldn’t have finished in the top 10 the last 6 years.. he’ll be back!”
De Gea’s form had come into question lately, with numerous errors coming from him in most of the games he’s played in this season.
Calls have been made for Olé Gunnar Solskjaer to drop the Spaniard, but we don’t know if it’ll happen any time soon.
