Manchester United manager Solskjaer singled out youngster Brandon Williams for special praise following his performance against Chelsea despite not being fully fit before the game.
The youngster came in for criticism for his poor pass that lead to Chelsea’s second goal, but the Norwegian has defended him.
“You see Brandon [Williams] for example, the character he shows. He plays a square pass into Mount. He probably feels a bit responsible. The rest of that half he was absolutely outstanding. The kid has been out with an eye injury — he kept going,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer noted after the FA Cup loss against Chelsea.
Aside the poor pass that led to Chelsea scoring their second goal, the 19-year-old looked good and played well.
Next up for the club is a home game against West Ham United in the Premier League.
