Alan Shearer has urged manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to replace David De Gea with Dean Henderson as Manchester United first-choice goalkeeper next season.
The Spaniard was at his worst against the Blues as his poor goalkeeping was one of the main talking points after the Red devils FA Cup semi-finals defeat.
His failure to stop Olivier Giroud’s shot and his fondling of Mason Mount’s strike made the game difficult for the Red devils.
Alan Shearer thinks that De Gea has exhausted his chances of regaining his form, and wants Henderson to claim his spot in the United team.
“When a keeper makes one, possibly two mistakes you think okay stick with him. But now I think it’s the time [for Henderson],” Alan Shearer told the BBC after United’s loss to Chelsea.
