Manchester United youngster Timothy Fosu-Menash, has revealed his delight, after featuring in our 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Thursday.
The 22 year old deputised for the injured Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams, and gave a good account of himself in the full-back position.
Speaking to MUTV after the match, the Dutchman said: “It feels good to play for the club again, I’m more happy that we got the win today.
“Comfortable is a big word but I’ve played there [left-back] before. I think I came on against Arsenal as a left-back, I can play in a lot of different positions.
“It was hard, but that’s what you work such a long time for, all these months for a moment like this.
“That’s football, something like this can happen and you have to be ready, especially at a club like this. I think I was ready for this moment.”
He continued: “Every time I step out on this pitch I have a special feeling as I had a good season here, the club has nice people.
“I think they’ve done well but the most important thing for us is that we got the three points today. We know that if we keep winning, we’re in the Champions League next season, so that’s our focus. We have to keep going, keep going, definitely.”
Fosu-Menash hadn’t played for United in a long while before Thursday, so it was particularly good to see him slot back into the team so seamlessly.
