Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers, has confirmed some of his key players will be unavailable for the remaining games of the season, including a crunch meeting with Manchester United on the final day.

James Maddison, Ben Chilwell and Christian Fuchs missed Leicester City’s meeting with Sheffield United on Thursday, and will be out for the remainder of the campaign. This is of course, without mentioning Marc Albrighton, who is also down with a hip injury.

Speaking to reporters about his side’s injury crisis, the former Liverpool manager said: “James and Ben won’t play for the rest of the season, and Marc is doubtful for the weekend but may be available for Manchester United.

“Christian won’t be involved now for the rest of the season. He could be actually 12-14 weeks out. It was in and around his groin.”

Meanwhile, Ricardo Pereira hasn’t played in a while due to injury, and Caglar Soyuncu is expected to miss out in the coming matches.

It is sad for Leicester City, but obviously, good news for Man United, who could take advantage of the situation, to overtake them on the league table.
