Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf slams Manchester United captain Harry Maguire

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has slammed Manchester United captain Harry Maguire for too being slow and for his technical struggles.

The Frenchman doesn’t believe that the United captain is worth £80m and doesn’t think he is at the same level as Virgil van Dijk or Sergio Ramos.

Speaking about Harry Maguire on ESPN FC, he said: “Nobody is worth £80m. We know that he is very special in England, the money gets very high and crazy when you want to buy an English or British player.

“[Harry] Maguire is a leader, he has qualities, but I think when you compare to [Virgil] Van Dijk, [Sergio] Ramos, John Terry, Marcel Desailly, I can name lots of fantastic centre-halves.

“No, he’s not in that level, he is maybe from the new generation somebody very strong, but technically struggling a lot and very, very slow.”

Maguire has come under fire for being partially at fault for Southampton last-minute equalizer on Monday that denied us all three points and third place.
